NI-CD Battery for Consumer Use

Rechargeable NI-CD batteries are one type of alkaline storage battery and classfied as secondary batteries. NI-CD battery has a positive electrode made of nickel hydroxide, negative electrode made of cadmuim, and some alkaline electrolyte. They are designed by IEC60285 as alkaline secondary cells and batteries Sealed nickel-cadmium cylindrical rechargeable single cells.

Features:

A.      Long Service Life and Economical

The cell can provide more than 500 charge and discharge cycles. This makes it extremely economical, and provides an expected life similar to that of the device in which it is used.

B.      Excellent Discharge Characteristics

FOREVER batteries have low internal resistance and high, flat voltage characteristics during large current discharge, which ensures a wider application field.

C.      Long Shelf Life

FOREVER cells provide long storage life with few limiting conditions. It offers problem-free charge afterlong storage, permitting to use in a wide range of applications.

D.     High Rate charge

For those applications that require it, the cells can be quick charge or rapid charged in 1-2 hours. NI-CD batteries can be fully charged in 1.2 hours.

E.      Wide Temparature Range

Forever normal type cell can be used at extreme temperature. The high temperature type cells can be used at 70C or more.

F.      Reliable, Self-resealing Vent

Each cell is equipped with a self-resealing safety vent that provides safety and maintainance-free function. The cell can be used in and desired postion during charge, discharge or storage. Thanks to the special material in the gasket and our original liquid sealing compound the probability of electrolyte leakage occurs very rarely.

G.     Wide Application Field

Batteries with capacity from 200-7000mAh are available. With four types available for general use(industrial type, consumer type, high temperature type and large current discharge type), FOREVER batteries can be used in any cordless equipment.

NI-MH Battery

As now electronic products have more and more sophisticated functions, more compact sizes and lighter weights, the power sources fixed in these products shall be required to supply higher levels of energy. To meet this requirement, nickel-metal hydride batteries have been developed and manufatured with nickel hydroxide and the positive electrode, these alloys can quickly absorb hydrogen during charge procedure respectly. NI-MH batteries have about twice energy density of NI-CD batteries, and the NI-MH batteries does not contain Cd and they are recognized Green Battery, so they have become the important mainstay of the new generation of rechargeable batteries.

A.      Green power

NI-MH batteries are free of cadmium and mercury. They are an environmental friendly chemical power source.

B.      Similarity with NI-CD battery

This type battery has almost same discharge characteristics as those of NI-CD batteries.

C.      Double energy density of conventional batteries

NI-MH batteries have approximately double capacity compared with standard NI-CD batteries.

D.     Cycle life equivalent to 500 charge and discharge cycles

Like NI-CD batteries, nickel-metal hydride batteries can be repeatedly charge and discharge for about 500 cycles(IEC61436 charge and discharge conditions)

E.      Rapid charge in approx. 1.2 hours

NI-MH batteries can be rapidly charged in about an hour by using a specially designed charger.

F.      Excellent discharge characteristics

Since the internal resistance of nickel-metal hydride batteries is low, high-rate discharge up to 3CmA is possible, similar to NI-CD batteries.
